Black and White....2?

So, I'm assuming by now many of us have heard some of the details behind the newly announced pokemon sequels: black 2 and white2...while no real information has been released (other than new forms of Kyurem), I thought it'd be nice for us to discuss theories and such here while information is still on the small side. Are they simply a third version (gray) split into two? Are they the first ever true pokemon sequels? Are they none of the above? Why the heck aren't they for 3DS?! Are you excited/dissapointed? Discuss away, lol. (and in the event they are released, this might also serve as a nice place to discuss the games post release ) What do you guys think?

Now this got me thinking. If this is a true sequel to the 1st black and white, how will it play out? Will it have the same trainer continuing his/her journey, or will it have a completely new trainer meet and partner with the previous one? Or will it do the expected obvious and have the same story with more content? All we can do is wait and watch for now.

2? Not Pokemon Grey, but Black and White "2"?

Unless this is a direct sequel to Black and White, I don't think the name is appropriate. What's more, they've abandoned the old formula of adding a 3rd title to the gen and are adding two. We've already purchased black and white. Why would we need to purchase 2 more games that will likely have the exact same bonus content?

I'm... skeptical. I don't really have high hopes for this, but I still support Pokemon, and hope this game comes through.

I'm sceptical, too. But I hope they will surprise us. I don't think it's the same content, too. That wouldn't make any sense to mee. What I think is possible: The game deals with the same area but maybe completely different protagonists and/or content... a different time, and so on.

You know what? It would be awesome to make a game where you can get through every area. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and beyond, muahaha. You'd meet Red, Green, Blue, Gold, Silver, Sapphire and Ruby, Pearl, Dia and so on (yeah I'm a true pokespe lover)... THAT would be awesome xD (And of course you start from a completely different point)

Okay, enough. I hope they won't do anything stupid with the sequel.

I think they were just tired of people predicting them, so they're trying to be different to help keep that element of surprise.

Well, it sure was a surprise for 2 sequels instead of just one, so they succeeded in that sense

Pokemon Black and White 2? I do not approve. They should have remade Ruby and Sapphire, but instead a Pokemon Black and White for Kyurem? If this is released, I'm not touching the game. Not worth buying. -_-

Maybe they will possibly remake R&S, but don't judge the new game by its cover just yet, 'cos we don't really have a lot of info here. Like I said before, watch and wait, see how things pan out before deciding to buy it

Well it's still likely that they will remake Ruby and Sapphire. There are several hints to Hoen in the narrative, and red and blue gems make appearances on the covers of B/W2...plus they made Platinum before Hg and SS, so just because these come out first doesn't mean that Ruby and Sapphire remakes are null and void.

I hope they remake Ruby and Sapphire on 3DS <3 My favorite region, although Emerald was my favorite game by far.

Well the 2 in the titles and the fact that there are two games instead of just one third one makes me think this will be more than just the traditional new game with minimal extra content that sort of makes you regret buying the first games. I truly hope that these will be direct sequels, and if they are, I'm gonna have to speed up my file on Black!

Here's hoping for Ruby and Sapphire remakes on the 3ds.

It its in the same region, it might be a bit of a waste of money having already bought the first two.

I think that maybe, just MAYBE, this game will innovate. If it continues the story of Black and White (a phenomenal story for a Pokemon game, btw), then I'll buy it!

Well, as a few of my news sites have confirmed, Black & White 2 has a new story, and features! So that may make it a sequel. We'll see in due time.

Oh? If it's true, now I'm FAR more interested! This will be the first time that 2 stories have taken place in the same region (unless you count the revisit to Kanto in the 2nd Generation). It makes me wonder if there will be the chance to fight the previous player character, or if some circumstances will cause them to need to start all over.

I like the design for the girl. The best one since Leaf and May. I didn't the design for the past 3 girl we got Dawn, Lyra and White looks to much Megan Fox.

The guy look ok.

The only thing that I don't like about the girl MC is her buns. Then again, I generally can't stand that in any hair style, so... The boy MC's hat shenanigans is just crazy, but I'll get used to it. The rival's ok, but the poison gym leader is just awesome. The water gym leader is pretty cool to.

New areas and old areas altered by a massive freeze over, that is just epic. A new starting town makes this all worth it by itself (To me, for some reason). Maybe Dive will be used on the field in these games again. The underwater/aquarium area sounds interesting, so I can't wait to see it. The story to this game has me really intrigued.

All this new stuff is reminding me that I still need to finish Black.

Ok maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. But White from B&W1 do look akind of that type of person.

If I get my any hate for this post. I do kinda deserve it.
Out of all the female playable characters we have so far just best on looks Leaf, May and this new girl are my favorite so far.

No hate intended at all, Sai, I just felt a little confused is all. Though honestly, for B&W2, I don't know if the girl protagonist is meant to look 10 or 15. It's kinda confusing for me

One of the thing what I'm liking about the protagonist in B&W1 and B&W2 this that you don't know there age. Know what I had the same problem with May. She didn't look 10 years old 12 maybe. But if you really think about it making the protagonist 15'ish make more since for going all over the world.

That actually makes sense now that I think about. Since in the B&W chapter of PokeSpe, they were about 14 according to Bulbapedia
