Hi! New Girl On The Block!

Hi, guys! I'm Vani Jane and I just read about PokeSpeAni at a DevArt journal around 30 minutes ago. I just had to check this place the soonest I could - after I recovered from falling off my chair in shock and glee. I've been wishing and hoping for sometime that PokeSpe would jump from paper and into the screen.

I've been watching Pokemon since I was in Kindergarten, stopped for sometime but I've been watching it again starting from Season one to the last. I've also played the games from the Red-Blue-Yellow versions to the Ruby-Sapphire-Emerald versions. I haven't played the NDS versions yet 'coz the sad truth is, I don't have an NDS~ But I do hope to get one soon!

I've only heard and read of Pokemon Special last year when I was checking out the manga in a bookshop. I'm on Volume 31 now, still saving up more money for the rest of the volumes~

Ehem, I've been lurking around the forums quite a bit before posting this introduction. And I'd really love to lend a helping hand to this awesome project, in any way I can! Well, except for anything to do with drawing - I can't draw to save my soul.

I'd like to try auditioning my voice for Crystal from the Second Gen. Arc. She's my favourite character of all time (but I guess you guys noticed that from the avatar and signatures). I also like Green's character, she's really awesome! I'd like to try auditioning my voice for her if the position's not yet taken (second fave character 'coz she's like a thief).

However, if I can't make the cut for Crystal or Green, well I'll still be happy to lend my voice! But this is my first time auditioning for anything and VA-ing in anything. So, I guess I'm pretty nervous. But I'd really like to help!

@Chuck: Oops, I got that. Lol. I was confused anyway with the manga 'coz the online translations was different from the serialized translations.

@Dirksies: To audition, do I just pick out a few lines from the manga or is there a script or particular part in the manga that I should do?

For now, you can just pick some lines from the manga. I think a VA audition script is in the works, but it might take awhile to get to some of the characters beyond RGB and even Y. You would need to talk to Rain about that, that's more her area.

Yea, here's the thing (ttly off-topic and all), ya see this is the week before the week spring break, so assignments and midterms are coming at me like pancakes (this latter half of the simile would be in a dream mind you, as I would love to have pancakes shoved at me... nvm) and so... yea... the whole mini-script idea was in my head and bursting to get out, so I put it out there for you all, but it probably won't happen for another week at the least. TTnTT

But yea, just make sure whatever lines you pick express differing emotions! Like, don't do them all as scared or normal or etc. Mix and match to show the dexterity of your voice, lulz.

You too, Rain? yeah, join the club. I don't have any midterms, but school is definately eating me alive.

@Rain: Okay, I'll try not to keep saying "Pokemon, go!" or "Arckee!" lines, too much. Just joking~ Tho, I'll try my best in auditioning.

@Dirksies: I'll re-read the G/S/C Arc when I get home from school and see some lines. If I can't decide, can I ask you? ^^;

Uhm, my friends say I have a different sort of voice when it's being recorded or something and I sound a bit whiny or may be that's just them. If it doesn't cut for Crystal - I can try out for Whitney! She's whiny in the manga.

Sure you can ^.^

Your best bet for now would probably listen to the lines others used for auditions, then judge what you chose based on those.
