Anyways, hi everybody, well met, 'tis a pleasure to make your acquaintances, etc, etc.

I know that was probably a really lame joke but I couldn't think of anything else, especially since I've had that song stuck in my head fro the past month.

Alright so let's get down to brass tacks(I won't settle for aluminum!),
I am HamsterPants, you may refer to me however you please, I actually have a lot of nicknames in the few communities that I am a part of. I am 18 years of age, and I'm turning 19 this August. If I had to come up with notable talents I have that I could possibly apply to anything, I'd say the one thing I'm the best at is retaining vast amounts of information, even if I don't have the best memory at times, I certainly enjoy doing it more than most things. Oh yes, one more thing, I have very good grammar and spelling, and I read the dictionary regularly, as a result I am a fairly reliable proof-reader.

Aside from that, I honestly have no experience in tackling an actual craft, but I have the potential, and I have a particular love for animation, but I never did manage to become an animator, mostly just due to circumstances, but I've always wanted to learn how to draw and animate pokemon, from the time I was a child until now. So I have the passion, I just need direction, I'd very much like to help in any way I can.

I've never read the manga before, so I'm curious as to how the story is going to be for this anime, and also how loyal it is going to be to the source material. In my opinion the 2 most important things in any film or book are the characters and the plot. So yeah, I'll definitely get to reading the manga though, I've heard it's very good.

You never read the manga before. Go READ it NOW! It is more importon for you to the first arc of the manga then it is to read the rules for now.

Well the problem with that is, I'm already reading a manga right now, and I fear that if I read the pokemon manga simultaneously, then I won't find it to be very impressive. It's only 18 volumes in total though, and it has my on the edge of my seat all the time so I'll be reading it fast.

I suppose I am. But I already know it's worth the entire read.

Earlier this year I finished reading this manga 20th Century Boys, which has 24 volumes:


And the one I'm currently reading is this one, which is written by the same guy:


So yeah, I don't have a problem with long stories as long as they are good.

The first manga that you posted seems like a classic representation of Japanese elitism rather than something I would pick up and read. In fact, it looks pretty disturbing.

I don't have a lot of respect for first-glance criticism...
But I will say that 20th Century Boys is, without a doubt, the greatest work of art I have ever witnessed in my life.
And no, it's not elitist in any fashion, as a matter of fact it's a very heart-warming story, and an incredibly immense and ambitious one at that.

And you can take my word for the fact that if it were elitist then I would hate it with a burning passion. Because I despise elitism you see...

This is also something that I'm more than willing to defend, I've actually become very emotionally attached to the writer of this story after reading it. It's difficult to explain, but he feels like a father to me.
20th Century Boys actually inspired me to take up guitar too.

I was browsing 4chan and came across a list of anime in production, and I saw mention of a Pokemon Adventures anime, so I googled it, I came across the club on mangafox, then through that I followed the link to this forum.
