Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
I've been thinking since the first, second, and third release of the first PokeSpe Project, and this got me thinking. What about the Pokemon Sound Attacks. Not just the general sounds like SFX like walking, or bouncing. I mean like real sound attacks from a Pokemon.
If the first project is released, then the second needs the next Pokemon Sound attacks:
Water Gun, Ember, Mew's flash unknown attack, and so forth.
I could try and get the copied sounds from SSBM (Thunder, Spark, Shadow Ball), SSBB (Vine Whip, Water Gun, Flamethrower, etc), and perhaps the sounds from Pokemon Stadium (which is difficult to try and copy).
I still have my N64 to try and mimic the sounds from Pokemon Stadium. It won't be easy, but I could give it a try and see if I could leave the music to a mute, no announcer, and only sound attacks.
What do you think?

erm, what 1st 2nd 3rd release of the 1st pokespe project? *doesn't get it sorry* I've never played pokestadium, but from what I know the pokestadium sfx almost always come with background music which makes the effect kinda unusable i think... tho i think ripping the sounds from the pokemon anime could work... (uhh honestly speaking i dun have much know how for sfx, skotein may be a better help yeaC: )

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
I don't have the games, but iirc there was at least an option to turn the announcer's comments off, so maybe there was an option to turn off music too.
Besides that, someone may have ripped the sound effects from the games, so you might want to do a quick Google check on that too.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
@Aki11 The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are your drafts from the animation.
@Nol I doubt there are sites that rip off the sounds from the Pokemon Stadium.
It may be helpful to use the Pokemon Anime Sound, but getting the sounds from both game and show is difficult due to the sound. So, the best thing is to get sounds from games.
I guess I could rely on Skotien, but I just wanted to try out for the SFX for attacks.

I think it's okay for you to try the pokemon attack sound effects.
I'd love to hear them!
(I think there was a discussion about pokemon sound attacks before though)

@Mrtweetums
Really? All I need is a Pokemon Stadium Rom, and copy the sounds.
I don't think using an actual game for N64 would work due to the fact that music is in the way. I wonder if the Rom can disable music. Just continue with the project while I try and get the Pokemon Sound attacks from Pokemon Stadium Rom. Give me a list of attacks I need first, and see what it turns out.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
Okay, I finally got a N64 Emulator. Just need a Pokemon Stadium Rom, and try to copy the sounds. I'm ganna try and disable the music. Just give a list of attacks I need to put in, and see what I can do.
Although, it will take even longer to copy the file to the Rom Games.
Oh! One more thing
@Nol, check for ripped sounds for the Pokemon Stadium on Google. I checked, and there are no ripped sounds from Pokemon Stadium. The reason why is because there are some people who don't want to rip sounds from Pokemon Stadium.
I'm going to try and copy the file tomorrow. Keep making the art of the project until it succeeds.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
Tsk, I was hoping that the soundtrack came with a complete sounds effect collection just like the Red/Green OST did, but no dice. =(
Yeah, I guess channel muting on an emulator/hacking out the music would be your best bet besides ripping out the .USFs. I tried searching for .USF packs too, but I only found incomplete ones/only ones with songs rather than sound effects. =/

It's okay. I'm going to try and copy the file of the Pokemon Stadium, and see if I can try and get the sounds.
When are you guys going to tell me what sounds are needed for the RBG Arc? I'm starting with the Water Gun & Ember.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
I don't think Pokemon Stadium will be that helpful for all the attacks, though. I have a N64 and Pokemon Stadium. What if we were to exaggerate the power of water gun (like in the anime)? The sfx for water gun in pokemon stadium would contradict that (it sounds as if it was just a squirt and not a blast). But there are some sfx that would work like hydro pump, thunder, thunderbolt, thundershock, and solarbeam (just to name a few attacks based on Red's pokemon in the first few chapters.
I suggest that skotein do the sfx of some of the attacks that the pokemon stadium sfx doesn;t match with.

@Silverkiyoko
Well, I thought maybe I could use the Pokemon Stadium sound effects for the show. Part 2 & 3 of the first episode needs the Pokemon Sound effects. As for the first sound, they're just tests. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get rid of the music for sound.
It's true that water gun is just a squirt and not a blast, but I don't see people trying to use a real squirt gun for no reason. It has to have a small blast of water.
I can't use Hydro Pump for it's a big blast.
Ember is like a small fireball attack when blast out of its mouth. Look for yourself as just tests for my sound sffects tests.

I like this idea. I'd like to see the quality of the sound effects. ;3
Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
Okay, but I have to warn you though: it's just a test. There are some music in it.
Go to, "Composer Audition", then, "My Test of Pokemon Sound Attacks".

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
what about the gamcube rom of pokemon collosseum 2 (DX)? sounds are probably better there
Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
@vt4tje
Both "Gale of Darkness" & "Pokemon Colosseum" have the same sounds. I don't have Pokemon Colosseum because my older sister told me to sell the game, and I don't have the Gale of Darkness.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
sry about that, oh and i forgot to mention that i also have battle revolution xD working on the sounds now... will take some time because i need to download the iso first, zo gimme min. a day
Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
@vt4tje, Impressive. I'm still trying to edit the work of my progress of the Pokemon Stadium. Send the stuff you got to Composer Audition. I haven't heard those attacks in PKMN Colosseum & Gale of Darkness.
@SaiturtlesninjaNX, I got a question. Do you the sound effects as a squirt of a Water Gun, or a blast extending Water Gun?

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
@Red_the_knight
Needer. As a VA I would make the squirt sound myself for what character is doing the attack. I have to said it should be more of a splash and it should sound like a stream in the air.
I whould think about think attack sound in 3 step.
1. The pokemon doing the attack. This sound is 75% VA and 25% sound effects. However you in to fine out how each elemental will sound like when it's coming out of the pokemon. Some attack opening will sound differentsly on it's coming out of the pokemon so there is something to do with the pokemon biology as will.
2. The attack in the air. This sound is 0% VA and 100% sound effects. This will be the main sound for more of the attack however depining on how strong the attack. For example Thunder and ThunderShock will sound a little different. This is a good place to start and to base the sound on for the attack.
3. The attack hits. This sound is 25% VA and 75% sound effects. This sound for when the attack hits the pokemon. This sound you to keep alot in mind like attack elemental, strength, attack type (if it's a kick or a Blast) and on the pokemon getting hit biology. Don't worry so much on the biology thing just worry on the first things. The biology will come in effects when we do rock or ground pokemon getting hit ok.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
@SaiTurtlesninjaNX, Okay.
It's going to take me a long time to try and record first, and then edit. I'm still trying to get the Ember 2, Psychic 1 (Mew's attack), Psychic 2 (hit), Wate Gun 1, Water Gun 2, & Water Gun 3.

Re: Pokemon Attack Sounds for RBG Arc
@vt4je, Pokemon Sounds from their cry?
I'm sure you played the game of PKMN Colosseum/Gale of Darkness. First, test the game of finding a good spot to play soft music. Sometimes, the music will interfere, sometimes it might become quiet a bit. Then record the sound of Pokemon Attacks only.
Just record the sound attacks when Pokemon attacks.
