What programs are being used?
I've found through out the years that computer programs have a habit of not being compatible with each other. I think it might be helpful to auditions to know what programs will work.
Reason I ask is besides the opening theme, I could probably help in other ways. Problem is that my version of photoshop is out of date. (you can't even animate on it)
I was also told that my art was good enough for the illustration team, but honestly:

There are other things I could help with as well.
I use a program called toon boom (Toon Boom Studio 4.0). Toon Boom is pretty bad with compatibility as far as I know. Unless you guys know how to force it to be compatible. ^^;

Re: What programs are being used?
we use programs like sai painter and photoshop for the drawing and or linearting of the pictures. Whilst programs like flash and after effects are used for the animation. I have the toonboom program, but like what you mentioned the compatibility sucks. And it is not as common as other programs like photoshop and sai painter. Using adobe compatible products will also give us a better range of different functions, depending on the program. Lol, tho to be honest I'm not all that familiar with toonz or toonboom, so I shan't say more.
And maybe ya can start my auditioning? you are showing us some animation but you're auditioning for illustration? Oo I'm confused, lol.

Re: What programs are being used?
Are guys talking about this ToonBoom?!

That's really expensive.
As for me, I use the Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 that came with my Wacom Tablet, but it's such a pain. It doesn't even have an option to put the layers in group folders, but it does the job.
I use Blender3D for animation it's pretty good, but since it's free and open-source, it has a couple of problems here and there, but nothing too serious. And the fact that it's a 3D program, there's lots of options you can work with such as shader nodes.
About the compatibility issues, I think, as long as we use universal formats (PSD, JPEG, MP3, MP4, etc.) we shouldn't have a problem. But just don't use the program's native project file, at least to share with us.
And the wolf transformation video was pretty good. We can never have too many animators. And who says you can't be in all areas? (Is there a rule against that? Seriously, I don't know. Doubt it though.)

Re: What programs are being used?
@Aki- This isn't an audition page you know. XD (Just showing those animations to prove I could do different things as well as illustration)
Someone suggested I try out for illustration (which, I probably will eventually), but I also have a little experience with animation, so I was curious with the programs being used.
Toon Boom is so badly incompatible (even if it's easy to use) I don't think it'll work out.
@Guest- Isn't it just? D: Got mine at about $400.
I actually want to get photoshop elements 7.0. It looks cool. Elements 3 is a dinosaur! D: You just gained a lot more respect from me.

Re: What programs are being used?
ahaha lets just say that most of my programs are gotten from not so legal means...=w= (not that this project was really legal to begin with but that's besides the pointXD)

Re: What programs are being used?
lol, I see. Well, I have what I got I suppose. XD
I wonder if anime studio is compatible. (that's a cheeper animation program, $50, pretty reasonable.)

Re: What programs are being used?
well, no matter which programs you use, for animation inbetweens and such it always needs to be saved in psd formats. I could send you the sai painter program if you want. Anime studio accepts psd files, but then again, that's for the compilation stage. I'll be doing most of the compilations, so no need to worry for that partC:

Re: What programs are being used?
Let me try a few things, then I'll tell you.
I want to see how far toon boom can go before having to learn a new program. ^^;

Re: What programs are being used?
lol, up to you. Just telling so that you won't be learning it and find out later that you won't be able to use it due to compatibility issues and allC:

Re: What programs are being used?
I use photoshop CS4 for animation. I also have after effects and I use it for some of the effect animation as well.
Re: What programs are being used?
I'm going to get MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 16 plus for my birthday on the 12. I can't wait to see I can use it to help with this project. I think I can use it to help with keyframeing.
The software that came with my digital camera is photostich 3.1 but I don't know how to use it yet. I don't think it's as good as SAI painter or photoshop but it's better then MS paints.

Re: What programs are being used?
I know there is apparently a free program called "Gimp" that can be animated on. Anyone know how compatible that one is?
Re: What programs are being used?
I heard it was pretty good. But I don't use it for some reason....I'll look into it.

Re: What programs are being used?
Well, I've decided to try for coloring and shading (I think I could do both), but I'm still going to keep and eye on this thread. (No one knows what the future will hold)

Re: What programs are being used?
I've used GIMP before, it can save as PSD files, so it should be fine. So long as you can do the same basic stuff and save it in a PSD format, whatever works. ;3
