I would like to lay down some of the wishes I have for this subforum now that I have made it. This subforum was made because some people were asking for it instead of that one, singular thread we had for socializing, but I don't want it to get out of hand.

I don't want this to become a modding hazard, alright? Don't make a new topic for every petty thing you want to talk about. I don't want the subforum becoming so full and constantly being used more than the rest of the forum. It'll be a hazard to go through everything, lock topics, and whatever. You guys remember how people on the old mangafox forum would make a new topic for something stupid like 'what's you're favorite character?', right? Let's not do that.

Let's try and keep our topics of discussion in the more general and open range so that fewer topics can be posted on more times and kept more active, instead of having tons of random topics with extremely specific discussions that nobody posts on and die quickly and causes lots of pain for the mods to clean up.

Please and thank you, don't make me have to delete this subforum!

Here are some examples of what NOT to do, and what you can do to change it into something better.

BAD Topics:

'What's your favorite character?' - 30 posts
'My favorite character is Blue' - 5 posts
'When is the next chapter coming out?' -8 posts
'Green and blue, Blue and green?' - 10 posts
'I hate it when people do this' - 15 posts
'Soulsilvershipping is awesome' - 21 posts

Why are these topics bad?
Because they don't offer up much discussion. The most you can get out of them is a couple of pages of posts, and then it just dies and clutters up the forum. I can see a 'what's your favorite character' thread getting a bunch of replies only because people will post their favorite character and then leave. Making a topic about YOUR favorite character is out of the question. Asking when the next chapter comes out will end discussion as soon as it does! If you're confused about something, there's no need to make a whole new topic just for your question. A topic about you're opinions are fine and dandy, but all you'll get is a couple posts of people agreeing or disagreeing with you, and not a lot of discussion. ^.^;

GOOD topics:

'Let's discuss our favorite characters!' - 58 posts
'Manga updates' - 42 posts
'What do you think about religion?' - 66 posts
'What's your favorite shipping and why?' - 91 posts
'The mangaverse and gameverse' - 40 posts
'Confused about something?' - 85 posts
'Adorable shipping pictures!' - 62 posts

Why are these topics good?
Because you can talk on them for a long time. There can be one, singular thread where people discuss their favorite characters and why they like them, and argue with eachother about why they like them. XD There can be a thread were people talk about what's going on with the manga and how to read it. There can even be really discussion-stimulating topics about religion or politics that I know will spur a lot of discussion. I know I would love to talk with other people about their favorite differences between the manga and game universes in pokemon, and a singular thread where people can go to ask questions when they are confused will stop a whole lot of 'I'm confused' topics. Why not have a thread where people can post a ton of their adorable shipping pictures? It doesn't matter what ship it is, and it gets a lot of posts!

You get much more discussion in fewer threads, see? Let's aim for this!

Alright so... I admit I'm not a good admin, for leaving the forum for a while. >_>
But I want to clear something up here. D:
Main general discussion is the same as social discussion.

You can talk about anything here yes. :/ just don't create useless topics. Joy explained about this above.
And so.. Social / General Discussion is the name now. >.>
