Great animators/animations

Post by john on Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:26 pm

Thought some of the people here might be interested in discussing about animations and animators in particular. Is there any animators that you really like, and if so, why do you like his or her animations?

There's a blog that discussed about some of the talented up and coming animators and why does he and many other people think their animations are great.

Yay, FMA: Brotherhood and BlazBlue! Awesome series.

In terms of animators though I like Yoshimichi Kameda, who did both series of FullMetal Alchemist as he really did the action scenes well, and it flowed so well. I hope we can somehow have the same quality in this anime.

I was yelling epic during that episode when bradley and greed foughtXDDD As well as the one when he flew down the stairs using the explosion's energy. All of bradley's fight scenes are friggin epic, I'd sayOwO

@kaz: With my ability... i don't think... fma standards.. is within my reach.. orz. *worships bones (the studio who did fma) with a burning passion* I've still got a long way to go in order to reach the standards of the people i idolize*A*;;;

Bradley's fights have always been the best. Though I like the Lin/Greed rivalry with him than scar. Why DID they have to let scar finish him off? It would be a lot more fun if Bradley regenerates like a regular homunculus. Another ironic thing is that despite Bradley being a main villain both elric brothers never even fought him.

Well if Bradley regenerated like a normal homunculus 1. He wouldn't age 2. He wouldn't be called a human-based homunculus.
I think the only powers bradley got was his all-seeing eye powered by his philosopher's stone.

Technically this would go the same for Lin as well. He just got the ultimate shield instead.

Anyways...isn't this off-topic...? O_o At least this is in the social discussions thread though (Phew!)

Its not really fair, ling was a human based homonculus and as demonstrated he can regenerate as long as greed is in control. Besides so what if bradley doesn't age if father was really smart why not just put in envy's philosopher stone on king bradley instead of the wrath philosopher stone in order to keep up appearances.

Anyways back on topic, I've seen a lot of those, I don't particularly like bones and the animation studio that did slam dunk and initial D because they have too much shadows. You know those black shades all over the characters.

Also I'm not too much on the names of the character designers. But for people who know Law of Ueki, I pretty much how they drew the character faces. I mean the eyes are too big and they look too blank to me, I mean the black on the eyes disappear.
