Stump 'Em!

Post by dirksies on Mon Sep 13, 2010 11:48 am

Okay, so the idea for this game has been cooking in my mind for awhile, and Kazzazz actually suggested something like it in the "Ban Game", so I thought, why not give it a shot?

This game is called Stump 'Em! Bascially what you do ask any question, but NOT something super subject specific like "How many carbons are there in carboxylic acid?", and whoever answers it correctly gets to ask the next question. If nobody comes up with the right answer, the asker will tell the right answer and get to ask another question. The questions can be about pretty much any topic, as long as it doesn't take a doctorate in that field to know the answer and/or the topic isn't too obscure.

It's really just that simple!

So, I guess I'll go first. I'll start with an easy one. "Who is Mickey Mouse's 'older brother'?"

(Sorry, I'm used to playing this game with wtc using Disney facts, so bear with me)

Well, it's not literally an older brother, lol. I guess a clearer question would be "Who was Walt Disney's character before Mickey Mouse?"

MWAHAHAHA, you'e tread into MY territory dirksies! (Also thanks for creating this game based off my idea. I seriously didn't think i would actually be made).
Anyway, I believe the answer is Oswald the Lucky Rabbit! (hehe)

My question (cause I know I'm right): In the Gamecube game Baten Kaitos, which island in the sky is also known as the 'Rainbow Nation'? (You've gotta spell it right too!)

No it's not popular enough for that XD. This is one of the lesser known Gamecube games, a hidden gem as it were. With a seriously good soundtrack by Motoi Sakuraba.
(and it looks like I have you stumped so far lol)

He he, the island known as the Rainbow Nation is called Anuenue, governed by Queen Corellia.
So next question! (I'll make it easier this time)
In Super Smash Bros Brawl, on which stage can the music 'Song of Storms' be played on?

Isn't it on the Pirate Ship Stage (the Windwaker one). It's also part of the Ocarina Melody available on the bridge of Eldin.

My turn...(get ready for some serious Disney)...I'll start off easy...What is Donald Duck's full name?

The answer is Donald Fauntleroy Duck.
Bleh, what a stupid name...

Now for my question:
During the investigation of the Dyatlov Pass Incident in 1959, what scientific evidence did the detectives find to explain the event?

I apologize if I brought up something too creepy, but it is interesting to read about either way...

What? There were no guns or cigarettes involved. Only severe head trauma. And what crook? The incident was about the deaths of 9 skiers in Russia.

I cheated (wikipedia, woot!), but you made me really interested and I like history. It says originally that it was only thought to be hypothermia, but then a later investigation found a major skull fracture as well as a chest fracture that looked it was compressed by some kind of pressure on some of the victims. One woman found was even missing her tongue (o.O). Also high radiation was found on the clothes of some of the victims. Ultimately, the final cause of death was a "compelling unknown force."

Wow, that's creepy.

Okay, my turn, "What was the first movie Disney and Pixar worked together on?"

OH OH OH OH. I THINK I KNOW THIS ONE. I THINK I DO.
I want to say Toy Story? D: That's because its the earliest movie of Pixar's I know that also in conjunction with Disney, so it has to be it! (Pixar-lover)

Uh Uh Uh Uh for my question...During the Salem Witch Trials, what was the name of the elderly midwife who was well respected in the village up until she was accused of being a witch?

I bet it's Cars, considering all the hype and they're making a second one when it doesn't need it. (Okay I looked it up... But it would've been my next guess anyway!)

Now it's my turn! Who are the parents of Cable (Marvel suphero) and who saved his life as a child? If you can get one part right, I guess I'll accept that.

You actually still weren't right. I can give you one more hint. Pixar wasn't actually called "pixar" at this point.

*cue evil laughter*

Are you sure dirksies? Because before is Lucasfilms, which is like Star Wars and Indiana Jones and Star Trek(I believe...). Unless that's what you were looking for?

I cannot give up! *feels annoying* Hmm... Did a little bit of surfing, and would the answer be Monsters Inc.? Otherwise, it's got to be those old shorts (not even films!) like Tin Toy or Gerri's Game. I'm stumped.

Wait, so you give up?

I actually can give you one more hint. This wasn't a full CGI movie, it only had elements of CGI.
