Crazy Pokemon Stories
In this topic tell about memorable moments that have happen to you in Pokemon.
Today, when I was playing HG I felt like going to the Safari Zone to catch a Sandshrew for the warrden. During that I went looking around after I had already caught the Sandshrew and was confronted by a shiny Sentret. My heart was racing I was so excited I was throwing Safrai Balls. Only when I was so close and the ball shaked for a third time it broke free and fleed. It was going to be my six shiny but oh well no use in crying over spilt milk. Wish I could of used the Masterball in my Bag instead.

Oh! I've got one!
I had just caught Lugia in my SS game, and I was randomly running around in the grass outside of Ecruteak. All of a sudden I emcountered Suicine (this was one of the planned encounters, so not too exciting), but then the next two times I entered the grass, Entei and Raikou both challenged me respectively. It's like all the legendary Pokemon wanted me to catch them. Unfortunately my Pokemon were nowhere near strong enough to do any kind of damage that would let me catch them, but it was still a really awesome coincidence.

I've got one!
When I was a little kid, my first Pokemon game was Yellow. 'Course, since there was no breeding, Pokemon had no genders. Then Gold and Silver came out.
Without noticing the change, I nicknamed my starter, a Totodile, "Hank"... and eventually figured out it was a girl.
...I guess I figured I made things better when I re-named it "Fergie."
Ten years later, Heartgold & Soulsilver came out.
Out of a 12.5% chance, I got another girl Totodile.

Trade win/fail
I put up a scyther on the GTS in platinum, asking for a Hippopotas in return. I equipped the scyther with the metal coat, so the other person could get a Scizor. I got a trade, and then realized "Oh god no, my metal coat is gone!" But just then, I saw that the other person who traded with me had a good idea. For a Scizor, he gave me my greatest asset in my fight for the badges: A FREAKING SHINY HIPPOPOTAS FROM JAPAN. It is my pride and joy in my Platinum.

Re: Crazy Pokemon Stories
For some here who played PWO, my story's not too uncommon.
I logged about 100 to 200 hours of gameplay (30 of which were spent hunting for wild Bulbasaur [long story]), and I had never encountered the special Shiny Pokemon that each and every player gushed about.
Come Heart Gold's release, I'm still a little peeved at the idea of shinies. They're stupid, overpowered, etc. etc. etc. I started looking for a HootHoot to catch (for my standard GSC team), and lo and behold: Shiny HootHoot within the first ten minutes. I caught it and I have kept it to this day in my HG copy. I would later catch shinies in PWO before it went down, but they never quite meant the same to me as my Shiny Noctowl.

Re: Crazy Pokemon Stories
In my original gold copy, I got into a battle with bugsy, somehow, we both ended up having just a kakuna or metapod. Just like in the anime, we got into a harden match, naturally, I won via struggle. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Re: Crazy Pokemon Stories
I was in the Safari Zone once, capturing Paras and Parasect in FireRed.
Now, I have a history of having the world's worst luck in the Safari Zone. I never captured Chansey or Kangaskahn in R/B/Y, and had to have friends trade them over to finish the Pokedex.
It was at this point that I hunted down the shroom Pokemon for the mushrooms. I had some attacks I wanted relearned on my Pokemon, so I was stocking up.
I capture a good 15 of the little buggers, and I've used up 29 of my Safari Balls, and I'm just about to run out of time in the zone when I find something. It's a Chansey.
I shrug. Meh. It's not like there's anything riding on this. I throw the ball.
CAPTURE.
I named it Fat Chance. When I got back to the PC, I found it was holding a Lucky Egg.
About 2 weeks later, I got 3 jackpots in one go.
