An Animators Salutation
well as you would guess I'm new here and i would like too become an animator on the fan project.
I would like to know exactly what animation software are you guys using( i myself have the latest version of adobe flash CS5) and also what the animation is supposed to look like?

Re: An Animators Salutation
You'd probably have to check with Aki for that, as far as I know Flash CS5 is just used for compiling the scenes together. After that I have no idea. It used to be After Effects, but now I think we're using a different program.
But anyhow, someone will come by to shed light on that, welcome to the forums! You can just call me Memi

Hiya and welcome to the forums! My name is dirksies and I'm a vice VA head. Hopefully, some people from the animation area will be able to answer your question, because I have no idea...
Anyway, make sure you read the rules and the FAQ, and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Re: An Animators Salutation
It doesn't matter what software you use as long as you can manipulate PSD files.
I've added that here: (At the bottom of the post.)
https://pokespeanime.forumotion.com/t176-animation-guidelines-and-requirements#1876
As for how the animation should look like...I don't understand.
If it's the style of coloring and such, that doesn't matter for animators since we only provide the line art.
The illustration team is in charge of color.
If it's how the characters should look like, they should be as close to the comic as possible.
Anyway, welcome to the forums and I look forward to your audition.

Re: An Animators Salutation
hello there, I'm also one of the animators here (though school has been eating me up lately so I haven't been on much...), is it okay if we see samples of your work? as what guest said, as long as you can save your files in psd format, it's fine. one of our animators use flash cs5 too, and I occasionally do as well(mine's cs4), though I'm not as used to it.
If you wanna join us, it's also a requirement to do a sample animation specifically for this project. So that we can know your level of skill as well as dedication to the project.
also, you can choose to be either a pokemon or character animator, or both, if you're versatile.
About the look of the animation, here's a sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0N4zsbC66Q&feature=channel_video_title (but don't worry if it doesn't look like this, all we need is your rough animations (though not overly rough) and the illustration team will do the line art and colour)
coloured version of this video plus episode one drafts will be available to you in the staff forums once you are accepted as a team member.
hope this helpsC: -long winded-

The name's BG. Pleased ta meetcha.
In my humble opinion, another animator is always needed. After all, the more we have, the faster we can get the episodes done.
Anyways, feel free to drop by and say Hi! I love a good chat.
