Re: Pokemon - the Origin
Nice! I thought even if it's a VA from something I've actually seen, the similarity won't be that big a deal. But woah, the Naruto feeling. So nostalgic. Of course, it's a great voice for Red too
Though the animation looks sweet and the voice acting too, I'm still sceptical of how good this will be. It's not going to tell such a grand story as something encompassing all of Red and Green ought to in that time. Still, if it does really well and manages to kick of some sort of Origin series, that would be like the best possible outcome. The dream outcome lol.

Ladies and gentlemen, we're getting a dub, and it'll be about a month after the Japanese release:

More voices for the Japanese dub including the voice of Lance:

Teehee...Rin Rin as Lance. That conjures up a funny image.

Re: Pokemon - the Origin
I rather liked it, and so far that seems to be the general consensus. They take a lot of artistic liberties with it while still following the game mechanics to a T. Though, if I had to bring up one criticism, it would be that maybe they follow it a little too well. At the beginning of the special, Red actually
On another note, I was shocked to see how surprising brutal it was, considering that fact that it's animeverse. xD
I'm pretty sure everyone has seen this video already:

I dont think professor oak's voice really fits him, though I'm picturing the manga and anime version of him. I'm surprised Brock got Johnny as his voice actor, he did a good job.

Yeah Johnny Yong Bosch as Brock was definitely a pleasant surprise. And hearing Lucien Dodge as Blue was pretty cool as well. Bryce Papenbrook was a good choice for Red, and there are only minor dubbing changes in sound. So overall, it's a pretty decent dub so far.

What I'm trying to say is, it's good, but it skipped way too much. We have the advantage of all the time we need, without the whole pokemon fan base pressuring us.
