Wait, does Team Plasma actually use Pokemon against you/others though? That's pretty ironic if their motives are to eliminate Pokemon battling. Neutral

One could compare it to the fact that people often need to fight in order to stop a war, or in order to overthrow an oppressive government, though, those are much better causes than what Team Plasma has. lol

Matter of fact, there was talk of a war in the first game, if you take Lt. Surge into account, and he's apparently an American. I thought that was weird when I looked at his page on Bulbapedia. Pokemon is not very political, but there seemed to be some elements in the first generation games.

Quite a valid point. Sometimes things just can't be solved democratically, a sad truth of the world. Speaking of war elements in the games, actually Team Magma/Aqua in R/S had some right? Where one fights against the other in a very war like situation? (Mt Chimney springs to mind here). But yes in gen 1 it did seem as if Surge had quite a war torn past. I bet somewhere I'll find a fanfic expanding on that...

pretty interesting interview, now we know how the pokemon starter designs came into being. Not a fan of pokabu but the final evo of it is pretty interesting to me<W< *chinese mythology person so yeah*

That is an interesting interview, I never would have thought Pokabu had a Chinese background. This may explain why Tsutarja is so popular in the western world. But because they're Pokemon I still think that Mijumaru's and Pokabu's could have been more creative. By the way, anyone got any idea when the US names for these guys may come out? I may become descencitised to the english version. Chimchar is still Hikozaru to me after all..

Chinese mythology...huh. I had a feeling it mightve had something to do with that...but still...
(well, I'm not to familiar with the Chinese mythology...unless you count the bare basics)

And for team plasma...I think they were all peaceful at first, but then the leader did a heel face turn and went all insane for power. So that's how yet went from peaceful to destructive...

So the leader of Team Plasma will be an opposite Cyrus, but still retaining his psycho "destroy the world cuz humans suck" thing. More or less.
