What will the logo be?

Sorry Kaili I have to disagree with you. I don't like have a pokemon the logo but I like having a differents logo for each arc. However I don't think we need the word acr in the logo. The word arc same it don't like to fit in the logo for some reason but RGB dids fit. I think we may need more then one logo. One with only texs for.... will I can't think of anything rigth now. As for mew the main reason that I'm going with mew is that I can see it frying into the logo and becoming part of the logo for the opening.

Well, I agree with joy, but I also have to agree with fais on this. Any kind of picture will draw away from the lettering.

But I would have to agree most with supernova. The most subtle of imagery will be the best. (I dunno, like a mew tail extending from the l in special?)

but sai, could I see your logo in a pink form? Just 'cause I'm so accustomed to mew being pink. (unless it's purposely like that)

THERE NO WAY IN #@&& I'M MAKING MY LOGO IN PINK! I can see a pink logo make more problems then it's should. The logo should be yellow, or gold, or gray, or white, or red, or green and or blue but not pink.

Yes Kaili know it was just suggest (a bad one) but that didn's mean I like it. It's not like I'm going to kill Mrtweetums or eat him.

Yea Sai, Tweet was merely suggesting you put Mew in the traditional color he's in. No need to get testy or... curse(?).

We all need to work together on this, not get aggressive when we don't like ideas. That won't lead to a very close-knit workforce.

That said, I would love to see it with Mew in his traditional color scheme.

We want mew in silhouetted forum and the background. I think Mew the logo should be a dark purple with a pink out line the eyes should only be pink just make it feel more mysterious.

I kinda agree with what Chibi is saying too. The logo isn't going to include the arc, because the logo will stay the same throughout. We don't want the logo to change with each arc, because people would get confused as to who made it and all that jazz. I think we are confusing logo with opening title right now.

For example, the poke'mon anime logo remains the same, even in different gens and all. We should come up with a logo idea for just Poke'Spe, and not include the arc for now, and that would be the logo, see?

I agree with Rainbow, actually. We really should just think of the main logo design for Pokéspecial itself and get that sorted before worrying about adding the info for each separate arc.

Once the main logo is done, we won't have to worry so much about it.

Sigh, oh well...dang, I really liked the mew...it's such a great icon in the series, sorta that watchfull guardian figure, but whatever...hmmmm, well, just a thought (not to shun creativity XD) but do we maybe wanna go with something simple, like the anime does?

I don't want this to turn into a some competition. We all need to work togeter on this.
There a reason why tv show and anime go with simple design. But if we a pokemon in the logo we should do this in steps.

Step 1. The main logo design for Pokéspecial. Lettering and colors.
Step 2. Background and other things like acrs and pokemon.

I agree with what Chibi and Rain were saying about the logo. There shouldn't be any pictures of any pokemon really it'll be confusing. The logo design should remain the same throughout every arc/chapter - the only think that should change is the name of the arc/chapter obviously and maybe the colour could be varied, it'll depend I guess.

I think a gold/yellow color for the logo would be quiet effective, and then for the arc subtitles make them the colors that they represent. (Like have the rbg be red, blue, and green) I think a simple 2D text lettering is not effective. Aki, I was wondering, what if you made a 3D version of the logo so we could animate it in the OP =D

Think you for agreeing with me on the yellow with a gold outline color sheme for the logo. I don't want a blue outline because it's too much like the anime. A 3D logo for the opening is a grate idea.

I like the idea its just that I dont like the pokeball... I like mcbrent's idea where the pokeballs were different colors. Maybe put the R, G, and B on top of the pokeballs =D

Ok, I completely messed up in my post five pages ago. I'm pretty sure someone mentioned this somewhere since then, but what you guys are making... it's cool, but it isn't a logo (it's a title screen).

Logos are a graphic signature, they show people that we made this. We cannot simply change our logo with every arc.
These are logos, so is this and this.

I don't expect to see any of those logos change any time soon, and they all have a connection to the company or group they're affiliated with, rather than their products.

Hmmm, yeah, I think we HAVE been mistaking the logo for the title screen. XD Maybe we should shift gears and make sue everybody knows what we're trying to design.

lol ive been lurking in this topic for a while now so now I'm skipping (temporarily, going back to do it now) homework to do my version of the title.

i did a few versions, think this is one of the better ones:


didn't wanna use the pokemon font cos i think it looks too childish, but we'll seeC: (took some suggestions from everyone, like the old one that wally waltzie submitted, chibiwish's etc) stylized mew so that it won't look as prominent.

(and the dexholder productions thing, it's not the final name of our team don't worry, I'm just lazy to check which is the most widely voted one right now and since it's not decided what our team name is, I'm just putting in a random one.)

The shines actually pass by from left to right, and they aren't really part of the title, imagine it moving lolXD

This is just for the word pokéspecial but as much as I like the red in your logo I think we should go with yellow lettering with a gold outline color sheme for the logo. I don't want a blue outline because it's too much like the anime and the frared we are for the anime logo the better.

As for the font we should make are own font. If I have my way I like make the font look like this form The Electric Tale of Pikachu.

Actually, a weird idea but, could we change the colour of the logo for different episodes? like a few episodes red, a few episodes green, a few episodes blue. Slight differences to make people wanna watch the openings over and over again. (and also to enhance the RGB factor and all) And yellow/ gold titles should be reserved when the yellow arc comes yes?

That could work Aki. Have for first episode with red, have the next episode in green, and have the episode after that in blue and then go back to red. But I still like the gold outline idea.

Plaese make should you don't forget to Capital the P in poké. If it's didsn't hart the design too much also Capital the S in special. Try experimenting with lower case and Capital letters.

Colour wise, i dunno if I should use gold, I'm afraid of colour clashes and all. As for the own fonts part, I could try but I've never been taught logo design before... (this is kinda like the "just tryin out" thing) just simple design fundamental lessons... And the caps is actually did intentionally, for a bold feeling. But I'll do some changes and all lolXD
