There a differents with the updated designs for Red, Blue, Green, Gold, and Silver that the remake designs work for them. But it didn't works for Crys. True that the updated characters design can be called new character like Lyra but here the thing we can see the old characters dressing up like that. Crystal dressing like Lyra it didn't fit her character. If they made Lyra Crys sister or something.

But if kotone was included, we would probably rarely ever see crystal again...

That's the problem. But the issue's resolved, so it's all fine now.

as much as people would say the costume wouldn't fit her I still... YES NO KOTONE! *shot* it would be weird to have 2 characters of similar designs (always thought crystal's hair was unique, but another character with the same anti gravitational hair would be too much...) and besides, if kotone's in the series, she'll be taking away crystal's role...

Well I said nothing about it fitting her. I think it looks plain weird on her, but that's beside the point.
My point is that it really doesn't matter what the fandom thinks about it or how it looks; it's a redesign and it's going to be incorporated because that's how they do things. (The only way they've really changed a redesign for the manga was the pallet swap on Ruby's and Sapphire's Emerald designs. Which I kinda liked. Sapphire's dress was a really pretty blue. owo)
Not to say Kusaka-sensei and Yamamoto-sensei and whoever else has an input on Pokémon Special don't care about the fandom, but that they see it more concretely. If Ethan's design became Gold's design, Lyra's would become Crystal's. That's, I'm guessing, how they see it.
No matter how much sense it makes for the character.
Which is why I was pretty sure she wasn't gonna wear it voluntarily. o_o That would not be our Crystal!

I liked the picture of Crys's hyper mom. Somehow I had a feeling she'd be responsible for the new look...

Hm, I wonder if Yellow can get a new outfit as well? She's been in that same tunic for way too long. Jesus, wearing the same thing for possibly six years?

maybe she should, but yellow's not in the game (neither is emerald) so I highly doubt a redesign would be in place anytime soon<_<

Today is Aki's birthday? Or was it yesterday? I never keep track of the little birthday counter at the bottom of the forum. o_x Well, happy birthday, Aki! Have fun, eat cake, be awesome as usual. :]

If there were a Kotone/Lyra character, she's probably have a place similar to that of Wally. That is, she wouldn't be a 'dex holder, but she'd still be a main character. However, I kinda think the Pokéspecial world has room for only one set of gravity-defying pigtails.
Well, it's not gonna happen now. o_o Now we have Lyra's outfit and the opposite personality.
Frankly I don't care much what they wear. As long as they're not ACTING out of character they could all prance around in footie pajamas for all I care...
...
Am I the only person who now thinks Yellow would be an adorable bomb with a pair of footie pajamas? owo

I think we all need to chack the calendar more because there alot of birthdays in May.

I decided most people must have done this so I wouldn't have to remind people. Apparently I was wrong, but it sounds like Aki had a nice birthday without us.
